About

Lauren Christlieb (b. 1989) is a printmaker, educator, and the founder of Red Bird Press, a community print shop dedicated to making printmaking accessible through classes, collaboration, and shared studio space.

Her artistic practice explores family relationships, memory, and inheritance through the recreation of kept objects, old handwriting, and found imagery. By reworking these materials through printmaking processes, she investigates the stories embedded in everyday objects and the ways they carry history across generations.

Christlieb holds a BA from University of Texas at Dallas and an MFA from University of Houston, where she has also taught printmaking. Through both her studio practice and her work at Red Bird Press, she is committed to building welcoming spaces where artists of all backgrounds can learn, experiment, and engage with the rich traditions of print. Lauren presently resides in the Houston area with her dog Zoey.
