Lauren Christlieb (b. 1989) works with kept objects, old handwriting, and imagery. She explores family relationships and memory by recreating objects. Her work is a journey to find the story behind the aged objects that she has kept from her deceased ancestors and things they too, have kept. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas (BA '13) and a recent grad from the University of Houston (MFA '17.) Lauren currently teaches at the University of Houston, San Jacinto College, and Lone Star College. She also periodically creates signage for HEB Grocery. Lauren currently resides in the Houston, Montrose area with her dog Zoey.
