Lauren Christlieb (b. 1989) works with kept objects, old handwriting, and imagery. She explores family relationships and memory by recreating objects. Her work is a journey to find the story behind the aged objects that she has kept from her deceased ancestors and things they too, have kept. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas (BA '13) and a grad from the University of Houston (MFA '17.) Lauren currently teaches printmaking at the University of Houston and works as an Area Community Coordinator for H-E-B. Lauren presently resides in the Houston area with her dog Zoey.
