"The Family Recipes" began when I came across my Great Grandmothers recipe books and cards. She passed away when I was 11 years old and I don’t have any recollection of eating any of these dishes with her. I decided to recreate the food utilizing the recipes and photograph the process. They are clean and clinical images, creating a disconnect - to mirror the fact that my family members who created these dishes are not here. I don't have my Great Grandmother here to help me with them, so I am using the only information that I have of hers to go on and hopefully learning more about her in the process.
